Who Saw Her Die?

There is now – thankfully – a steady flow of reissues of celebrated Italian gialli on DVD. These hyper-stylish, often grisly murder mysteries are now appearing in splendid widescreen transfers (unlike the grainy pan-and-scan prints that once appeared in the UK – if they appeared at all). Lado's impressive film has George Lazenby (after he blew his chance at playing 007 for a second time) in an atmospheric Venice-set mystery that interestingly anticipates Nicholas Roeg's Don't Look Now.
