I'd like to thank readers for all the tremendous support and kind words regarding A Quiet Belief In Angels. Quiet Belief has been doing extraordinarily well, and has remained in the Top 10 on Amazon since its release in early January. The reviews that have been posted have been fantastic, and they keep on coming (and if you haven't already written a review then I would really appreciate it if you would; it makes a great deal of difference as the more reviews that get posted the more people read the book!)
And another book is due for release in October (the 2nd). Entitled 'A Simple Act of Violence', this book is quite a bit different from A Quiet Belief In Angels. Perhaps more of a standard crime thriller, this is an apparent serial killer investigation set in the present day in Washington. I say 'apparent' as nothing is quite as it seems, and the investigating officer, Detective Robert Miller, finds himself ever more baffled as the serial killing victims turn out to be not quite who they first appeared to be. The ever-more complex plot incorporates the history of the United States Intelligence community in illegal drug trafficking and corruption going all the way back to the war in Nicaragua in the 1980s. Some of it runs very close to the bone, to say the least!
Next week I'm off to London to listen to some of the recording for the audio book version.
And we have recently secured translations for countries including Brazil, France, Taiwan, Norway, Sweden, Poland, France and Lithuania. I think there are books translated into a total of thirteen languages at the moment, with A Quiet Belief In Angels and City of Lies in Large Print for the visually-impaired, and Quiet Belief and A Simple Act of Violence on CD.
All of these projects consume time, of course, and thus I apologise if I have been slow in writing back to you or replying to your e-mails. It was not through lack of intention, but merely the clock chasing me from one end of the country to the other!
So, I have been trying to maintain my blog and post at least one or two new articles each month, and though there are a great deal more things I could write about it's once again simply a matter of finding the time. Seems to me that the time that I have these days should be spent writing books in preference to anything else!
