Bombproof Michael Robotham

Sami Macbeth just can't get lucky. Having a girl's name doesn't help. Spending two and a half years in prison for a crime he didn't commit doesn't help much either. Coming out to find his sister in deep trouble makes things worse. Especially when it seems the only way he can get her out of it is to involve himself in something a lot more serious than the crime he didn't commit in the first place. Then – well, why not make it a very bad day? – he rides in a tube train that blows up and, though he survives, he has to go on the run immediately because he's carrying a tell-tale rucksack that the London police are understandably interested in. So he finds himself 'most wanted' as a terrorist. As I say, it's not his lucky day. Because, even if he can extricate himself, his sister is still in the most serious dogshit. And – hell – we're not even a quarter way into the book.

This guy Robotham: he sure don't hang about.
